Customer Verification
By providing your customer's name and select personal information, we will search public records, government data, OFAC, bank records, and many other data sources to locate matches to the data you provide. We can then give you a response indicating the matches that we found to the data you provided. Additional data that can be matched to a name include addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, and other personally identifiable information.

Account Verification
Authorize a bank account in real-time to approve or decline users based on transaction history. Verify if the account has experienced fraudulent or suspicious activity, confirm the structure of the account/routing numbers, and review positive and negative payment history in real-time.

Risk Services

The following are the different types of risk services we offer

ACCOUNT VERIFICATION SERVICES
1 - Account + Customer Verification (Premium Service)
Gets the current status of a bank account, and authenticates your customer data against signature data from participating banks. Can authenticate Person Name/Business Name, Tax ID / SSN / ITIN / EIN, Date of Birth, Address, and Phone Number matching the account.
This service requires enhanced due dilligence on your company

2 - Account Verification
Returns the status of a bank account and it's associated risk for processing ACH transactions

Searches consumer data records and compares your customer data to the closest matched customer records. Returns a summarized response without details of the matches or alert messages. Includes matches from the OFAC SDN list

5 - Customer Identity Verification Plus
Includes everything from Customer Identity Verification, and also includes the details of the matched records and alert messages

6 - Customer Identity Verification Plus w/ KBA
ncludes everything from Customer Identity Verification Plus, along with a set of Knowledge-Based Authentication questions. The KBA response will include a set of questions, with each question containing 10 possible answers. The correct answer for each question will be flagged

7 - Business Identity Verification
Searches business data records and compares your business data to the closest matched business records. Returns a summarized response without details of the matches or alert messages. Includes matches from the OFAC SDN list

8 - Business Identity Verification Plus
Includes everything from Business Identity Verification, and also includes the details of the matched records and alert messages

10 - Business Identity Verification Advanced
ncludes everything from Business Identity Verification Plus, along with IP Address Verification and Domain name WHOIS Lookup.

14 - Mobile Verification
Identifies your customer by matching their name, address, and email address data to the account owner’s data at the mobile service provider.

Customer Verification

Stop fraudulent users in their tracks by using our customer risk and verification service to determine the legitimacy of your customer's personal information. At minimum, you need a first and last name. From there, you decide what personal information you want verified against that user. The more personal information provided, the more data that is checked, and the more accurate your results. For example, if you wanted to check date of birth against the name, our system will query public records, national databases, bank records, government data, and a multitude of other data sources to find a match on first/last name and birthday.

Customer
To make any risk inquiry call, you must first have a customer created in our system. You may create a customer online, via our widget, or through API calls. For more information about creating a customer, see our section on customers.
This endpoint will check the data contained in the customer record.

Addresses and Phone Numbers
To include checking on an address or phone number, you can provide the appropriate addressId or phoneId. The address or phone number must first be created in our system. The API endpoint will not check any address or phone number associated with the customer by default, unless it's addressId or phoneId is provided.

Services
We offer several different services for verifying customer data, depending on your needs. Use the following riskInquiryTypeId in your body request.

   Includes specific details as hot how the response code was determined, and offers KBA (Knowledge-Based Authentication) questions with 10 possible answers, and the correct answer flagged
7. Business Identity Verification
   Searches business data records and compares your business data to the closest matched business records. Returns a summarized response without details of the matches or alert messages. Includes matches from the OFAC SDN list
8. Business Identity Verification Plus
   Includes specific details as to how the response code was determined

10. Business Identity Verification Advanced
    Includes specific details as to how the response code was determined, along with IP Address Verification and Domain name WHOIS lookup

Each service must be enabled before you can use the product. You will receive Unauthorized responses from endpoints where the service ID is not enabled for your account

Making the Call
To perform a customer verification risk inquiry, make a POST call to /riskservices/riskinquiry

• You must include a riskInquiryTypeId, which can be found above in the Services section
• You must include the customerId as a string
• You can optionally include an addressId or phoneId as part of the request, to check against addresses and phone numbers

Testing
By default, account verification is performed in a test environment, regardless of the API environment you are using. When you are ready, we can switch your account verification into production, while you remain in our test environment (so you can still test using live bank accounts).

Account Verification

Authorize a bank account in real-time to approve or decline users based on transaction history. Verify if the account has experienced fraudulent or suspicious activity, confirm the structure of the account/routing numbers, and review positive and negative payment history in real-time. We will search through bank history to provide a risk level associated with a bank account that is comprised of data regarding transactions, income, returns, payment history, and account longevity.

The real-time account verification service searches through a vast collection of databases, networks, and information to determine the risk associated with transacting from a bank account. We also offer an on-demand account verification service that is able to determine the legitimacy of an account, and the availability of funds to clear a transaction. Customer
To make any risk inquiry call, you must first have a customer created in our system. You may create a customer online, via our widget, or through API calls. You will need the customer ID to perform the risk inquiry. For more information about creating a customer, see our section on customers.

Making the Call
To perform an account verification risk inquiry, make a POST call to /riuskservices/riskinquiry

• You must include a riskInquiryTypeId of 2, indicating the "Account Verification" service
• You must include the customerId as a string
• You must include an accountInformation object in your body, with account number, routing number, and account type. Account Type must be a string, either checking or savings.

Response
Responses for a risk inquiry indicate the result found from researching the bank account. Each response description can be uniquely customized for each of your applications, along with the action performed from each result. Upon signing up for one of our risk services, you will be required to decide your intended action for each result (whether to accept or decline the transaction).

The following responses are actions associated with each response. You can assign one of the following response actions to each response. Click here for a list of all possible responses.

Accept	This item has passed all identity and/or verification checks.
Accept With Risk	This item should be accepted based on the risk factors found.
Risk Warning	This item should not be accepted based on the risks found.
Decline	This item has failed some or all identity and/or verification checks and should be declined.
Reject	The item should be rejected (The check number supplied has an active stop payment on file)
Negative Information	There is negative data in the history of this account
No Information	No information was found on this item.
Error	There was an error with the inquiry. See error logs for details.
Invalid Data	The item has invalid parameters. Please fix the item and try again.
Rule Violation	The item sent violates CFS and/or client rules for inquiry submission.

Testing
By default, account verification is performed in a test environment, regardless of the API environment you are using. When you are ready, we can switch your account verification into production, while you remain in our test environment (so you can still test using live bank accounts).
