Streamlined Endpoint Management

RIBBIT’s REST API has grown over time, with features and addons expanding into a wide array of endpoints. In version 4, endpoints have been consolidated to allow simpler integration flows with greater customization.

BankQUALIFY, BankVERIFY+, and vInsights can all be accessed through the /v4/INSIGHTS endpoint.
Customer, account, and payment management have also been simplified in TRANSACT, RIBBIT’s ACH processing service.

BankVERIFY+ Decisioning Improvements

BankVERIFY+ has improved data processing quality and reliability beyond what was previously possible.

Faster BankQUALIFY

Lightspeed just got faster! RIBBIT’s light-weight bank behavior tool now completes in a fraction of the previous time.

Expanded BankQUALIFY

Your feedback on BankQUALIFY leads to even more great additions. We recently added 25 new attributes for greater details about account ownership, fraud potential, and more. We have now added 3 additional scores so that you can distinctly discern markers for:

Transaction stability
Risk stability
Ownership stability

Transition to v4

So you already integrated one or more RIBBIT API products and are interested in transitioning to version 4? This section is for you!

The improvements and additions in v4 are many, but transition is simple. Follow these steps to move your integration from API v3 to v4:

Review Updated Documentation

The INSIGHTS Integration Guides and documentation have been updated. You will find details about API version 4 and prior versions here:

All 3 INSIGHTS products have been moved into a single endpoint, meaning all 3 products can now be used from a single integration! POST to /v4/INSIGHTS with basic customer PII and either account/routing number (for BankQUALIFY and BankVERIFY+) or 3rd party transaction information (for vInsights) and receive the appropriate response—all from the same endpoint.

Include the productid field in the request body to designate the desired INSIGHTS product:

API v3/v4 comparison

Move to Production

The RIBBIT test/sandbox environment is available for your integration use. Once you have integrated v4 and had sufficient successful test runs, you will be granted a new set of API credentials for the production environment.
